  • LANDSCAPING.  The McKinley garden work time will be Monday nights from 6-7:30 pm.  This will start on Monday, June 4, and go to August 13.   Any families or students are welcome to come during that time to help and learn more about gardening.

  • SUMMER SHOW CHOIR CAMP.  July 30 through August  3.   Registration Form.  

  • INCOMING 6TH GRADERS:  6th Grade Academy, August 1 or August 2.   Invitation LetterPermission Form. 

  • HY-VEE RECEIPTS.  Save your receipts through the summer!   

  • WEATHER RELATED SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS AND DELAYS.  The Cedar Rapids Community School District uses the School Messenger Notification System to provide timely communication to parents by phone, email and text (optional) regarding school delays and cancellations. Steps on how to set up an account. Please remember to have your student dress appropriately during the winter season. Students are not allowed in the building early unless it is 20 degrees or below.
  • WINTER WEATHER DRESS.   Students will not be allowed in the building  before school if the temp is 20 degrees or above.  Please dress your child appropriately.
